This was the best firearms training course I've ever attended. The education on the principles of handgun and shotgun use for self defense was outstanding. All of the drills were highly effective in reinforcing those principles in realistic scenarios. The level of emphasis on safety was off the charts. We had one instructor for every 2 participants- I've never seen that in any training program. The experience level of the instructors was really impressive, and they were always ready to answer any questions and provide additional guidance to us. They were assertive and serious about the training topics and corrected any errors quickly and thoroughly, while at the same time providing plenty of humorous "training" stories. The mountain location is awesome and the campfire dinner was a great time! I understand why some of the participants have attended this training multiple times- I will definitely do this again!

I've attended quite a few firearms classes over the years, but this weekend’s experience was hands down the best I've ever had! As someone with a decent amount of shooting experience, I walked away with a robust set of invaluable skills and insights that I hadn’t encountered elsewhere. But what truly amazed me was watching my sons (21 and 23 years old), who were new to this, go from absolute beginners to confident shooters in what felt like no time at all. This class didn’t just teach them the basics; it launched them from zero to 100mph with skill, precision, and understanding. Simply put, it was nothing short of extraordinary.

The instructors are in a league of their own—seasoned professionals with a wealth of real-world experience and captivating lessons to share. They don’t just talk the walk; they walk the walk, embodying the very principles they teach. And when it comes to safety, I've never felt more secure. Each trainee was paired with a coach, ensuring personalized attention and an unwavering focus on safety. Having a coach within arm’s reach at all times meant that even in dynamic, realistic training scenarios—whether shooting while moving forward, backward, and sideways, or drawing from a holster under pressure—I felt completely safe, especially with my sons alongside me.

Another thing that sets this class apart from anything you might get at your local range is the practical, real-world training that goes beyond static target shooting. We learned how to "pie a corner" for home defense, maneuver through various defensive scenarios, engage targets while on the move, and appreciate supersonic and subsonic ammo—all crucial knowledge, skills, and abilities that you just don’t get to develop in a typical range setting. The emphasis on these dynamic, situational awareness, and real-life exercises was eye-opening and provided a level of preparedness that is simply unmatched.

Beyond the technical training, the social experience was also special. The instructors didn’t just teach us—they took care of us. From cooking meals and keeping us hydrated to making sure we were comfortable, relaxed, and entertained with jokes and camaraderie around the campfire, they created an atmosphere that was both professional, welcoming, and inclusive. The beautiful Colorado backdrop only added to the experience, making the whole weekend feel like a retreat, not just a class.

It was also a thrill to watch some friendly competition between the coaches, showcasing their skills while keeping the environment light, fun, and pragmatic. Another thing that stood out to me was how these master-level instructors prioritized teaching dynamics and methods over flashy tactical displays. They understand that effective instruction is about more than just shooting—it’s about making you feel comfortable while pushing your limits. They taught with a level of expertise that was both humbling and refreshing, striking the perfect balance between technical mastery and genuine understanding of how people learn.

This class wasn’t just about firearms; it was about building confidence, knowledge, skills, capabilities, and a deep respect for the discipline of shooting—all within a supportive and highly engaging environment.
Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or just starting out, I can’t recommend it enough -- this is where you, your sons, and daughters want to be.

I just finished the CHP+ class (concealed carry plus) and it was outstanding. I learned so much on how to handle firearms, the laws, and most importantly, the hands on training and real life simulations - I enjoyed that part the most! Having not grown up in a house with guns, this was new to me, other than having been to the shooting range a few times - around 10 years ago. After completing the course I went to the shooting range again with an ex-Marine friend and did surprisingly well. I owe the class for this and the training I received with modified Guns they provided. Highly recommend!!

Loved this course! We started with the fundamentals and quickly built from there until we were hitting targets while moving. By the end of the second day, I was noticeably more skilled in my shooting, more confident in my ability to use a handgun, and more determined to improve on certain skill sets. The instructors are amazing people and clearly experts in their field. They merged hand to hand combat with tactical shooting that mimicked real life situations, all the while maintaining the safety of the students as their top priority. Highly recommend this course for beginner and expert shooters alike!

Fantastic course. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a newcomer, this class will exceed your expectations.
There is a high instructor to student ratio which provides safety and one on one interaction/training. Great Instructors, great Course of Instruction, a little camping, and time to meet new people on the range and by the camp fire. Advanced training that is not easily duplicated in a normal range environment. I’ll keep coming back!

I highly recommend the live-fire level one weekend training course. I was nervous attending, as I did not know anyone else and was a relative newbie with guns. But I felt welcomed and safe throughout. The coach-to-student ratio is an amazing 2:1, and the depth of knowledge and experience the instructors bring is substantial. There was plenty of food and cold water available for everyone. I was one of a few female students and one of the instructors was female. Not only did I learn A LOT, but I had fun with the lessons and the folks there.
