The BEST! Truly Gabriel is such an amazing self defense instructor. He is funny, warm, supportive, and shows how to do each movement step by step. It doesn't matter if you're an expert, have some skill, or know absolutely nothing, he will work with you and help you improve! I would not hesitate for a moment to sign up with him.

These self defense classes were great! I learned so much great info with many techniques. Gabe is a great teacher— really funny and helpful. We were shown many self defense methods and were also taught about legalities. Classes were so much fun and I would definitely recommend them! I feel so much more prepared to defend myself now.

I’ve really enjoyed taking these evidence based self-defense classes with Shaan Saar. They have provided a great intro to self defense training and education so far. I had never taken any kind of martial arts or self-defense class prior to signing up, but the instructors were welcoming and very helpful. Perhaps more importantly, every other student I met there was also very welcoming. It can be intimidating to walk into a space like that without prior knowledge but it has been a great experience over all.

I liked the 12 weeks course. Self defense is something that I was always interested on since I was little. I have learned so much! I will continue practicing and going to classes because you never know when you are going to need it. It was 1.5 hours every session, which gave us a lot of time to practice. Bringing a partner makes it so much fun, you can also partner with someone in class. 100% recommended. Gabriel is awesome at teaching.

Shaan Saar was a fantastic opportunity to learn self-defense. We learned several different techniques and also learned various tips on how to behave verbally when you are being attacked. Gabriel was a excellent instructor and very attentive.
