This is by FAR my favorite local shop. I go here for all my gifts and exclusively buy my candles from here! They are the best!!! Whenever anyone comes over they rave about how amazing my house smells. The vintage is always so gorgeous and thought through pieces. The owner here is so sweet and truly does a wonderful job with keeping things beautiful and local! Come here for all your holiday shopping!!!

I’ve been obsessed with the candles from Little Swiss Chalet for so long! The shop is adorable and the owner is the sweetest! She truly cares about her craft and is amazing at what she does. A hidden gem on State Street Redlands! I also found that she’s an artist and creates all the art on the candles! My newest obsession is Laurel Canyon.

Disappointing Service at Little Swiss Chalet

I’ve visited Little Swiss Chalet multiple times, hoping to get a fair sense of the service. Unfortunately, each time, the experience has been consistently disappointing. The owner’s attitude leaves much to be desired, and it’s become clear that certain customers don’t receive the same level of care and consideration.

During my most recent visit, I noticed the person ahead of me received a discount for paying with cash. I had hoped for a similar offer, but it was never extended to us. It’s unfortunate because I truly enjoy supporting small businesses and local artisans. Still, if I don’t feel welcome or valued as a customer, it takes away from the experience.

For those looking for genuinely welcoming environments, especially my fellow crafters and creators of color, there are plenty of small businesses in 2024 that value all their customers. It’s worth exploring those options for an experience where you’re treated with respect and appreciation.

I have been shopping at Little Swiss Chalet since they opened their doors! The staff is always friendly and kind. LSC candles are the only candles I burn in my house. The burn time and rich scent is well worth the money. I love supporting small local business and LSC is always at the top of my list when going downtown.

Customer service is important to me especially when it comes to small businesses as I expect owners to be welcoming and approachable as soon as you walk in to their establishment. However, there was a time when I peeked into Little Swiss Chalet and I did not like the vibe of the owner for some reason, however, she didn’t notice me but it was the way her face looked that didn’t make me feel welcomed thus prevented me to consider walking in and taking a look. So I decided to check her reviews, my instinct was correct, she can come off rude and make you feel uncomfortable which is unfortunate.

I absolutely LOVE and adore this shop. Her candles are beautiful and smell amazing. I love to support small it is very important to me so I am so glad we have this shop in Redlands. It is absolutely darling and a must see in Redlands.

I loved this store in Pasadena, but it closed permanently. I was in Arcadia for another reason (I live in LA) and so I drove 1.5 hours to come to this main store in Redlands, and it was closed today, despite saying it was open to 8pm on Google. ?☹ Please update the Google hours and times you're open. They have a room spray that's amazing but it's not on the website so I wanted to come here.
