Since I'm in the area, I wanted to check this cafe out because I had a sweet tooth today. Their specialty is crepe cakes. I got a sesame and tiramisu slice. The cake's flavor is excellent, and its texture was delicate. Although it's quite expensive, I believe it's worth it.

The crepe cake was moist, flavorful, and cresh. I ordered the 6" matcha cake for a party and it had a good balance of creaminess and sweetness from the cream.

Loved the each bite of the pastries, 1st time we bought their signature crepe n chocolate crepe pastry, they were delicious n cream was fresh, not very sugary or sweet. After couple of the month we bought their signature cake which has the same taste. One of the best crepe cakes I have ever, yes little expensive but worth the each penny.
For different flavour cakes we need to order in advance.

Located inside the Mitsuwa shopping complex, Lady M is next to the MaMa House Korean stand in the food court. They sell whole cakes, cakes by slice, and hot and iced teas.

I was surprised to see Lady M in Chicago, surprised in a good way. They are famous for their mille feuille cakes so I had to get one.

I got a slice of their signature Mille Crepe. It was $8.18 total after tax. If you want the whole cake, it'll cost $80.

The guy taking my order and handing me the cake was very nice and friendly. We connected about living in California and he was telling me how this location just opened the week before. He seemed to be doing all the work by himself that Monday during lunch. (To management, perhaps give him a bonus in pay. He seems to be doing an awesome job.)

As for the cake, the crepes are extremely thin, like paper thin. The crepes are slightly chewy, so slicing off a piece with a fork may cause the crepe to collapse under the pressure of the dull fork edge. The sides and top are covered with a simple sugar syrup and the top is lightly bruleed (not so sure actually). The sugar syrup really helps with an extra sweetness to balance the pastry cream.

The pastry cream is rich and not very eggy. This makes the whole cake very clean and decadent. I may recommend eating one layer of crepe at a time. Either way, it's pretty good.

The only negative is the price. The cakes are fairly expensive here, but that comes with the fame I suppose.

If you haven't had a mille crepe before and you're minding your budget, look for the frozen or refrigerated mille crepes that you may find in Japanese grocers. The taste and texture are fairly similar. I'm not sure if this Chicago mitsuwa has any though.

If money isn't an issue, Lady M is a refined version of your typical mille crepe and you should absolutely go and enjoy a slice.

I have been to Lady M in New York and Taiwan several times and enjoyed the cake a lot. This is my first time buying a cake at Lady M Chicago. I ordered take out and ate it within 30mins. I am extremely disappointed that the top layer of the cake is super dry. I thought I ate wrapping paper but it turned out to be part of the cake.

Decided to try these after having tried a different brand in London and these are def superior. Luxe cake with luxe prices, I think it’s like $12 a slice? I purchased the signature and the green tea flavor. Both very good, rich but not over powering, crepe and cream layer ratio perfectly married. I had no issues with service as others did. Cakes were gently placed into a fancy box with bag (which is $0.07)

I don’t know.why is this fee charged?SALES FEE7.75% and there were no employees so I wait for a long time..I had no choice but to knock on the door a few times and one person came out..his face full of dissatisfaction when he knocked on the door.

I love Lady M Crepe Cakes! First had them in Singapore, that first time you slice into a piece with your fork and that first taste...just WOW! You'll never forget it! So satisfying and decadent. Worth every penny! For those complaining about the price...come on now...you can see the prices beforehand. If it's too much don't go. No one is forcing you to spend money on these cakes. ?
