I decided to go to this salon that’s around the corner from me to get my daughter a silk press. I walked in on Monday to make some inquiries about price and availability. I was told they where busy at the moment getting things together so they couldn’t help me. I can back Wednesday and they where working on someone’s head I waited and then inquired about the price I was ask why I don’t have a mask and when I said my handkerchief is my mask I was told it’s not and that I need to get a different mask that’s would be more protective all said with a nasty defensive attitude. So I proceeded to ask about the price I was told the price is on the wall and then a back was turned on me. There was no signs or prices on the wall. I was eager to take my daughter to a black owned shop for the first time I all the attitude I received to the side and thought maybe she was just busy and flustered so I go back Thursday. This time I was told the lady that does it wasn’t there but she was willing to call her (ebony) to set up something for me. She did ebony says she will be available at 6 to do my daughters hair the next day. I was finally given a business card and was told to text to confirm the appointment which I did. When I came in the next day at 5:30 the place was packed which is fine. I asked was my daughter appointment still at 6 ebony said yes. She told my daughter to sit at the sink and wait. I told her I’m going to the store to pick up some stuff and I’ll be right back. When I got back at 7 my daughter was still sitting there hair untouched. Now there only 3 people left including my daughter. I sat a while longer then I asked is my daughter next because she been here long ebony said she can’t tell me that. Then I asked if she could give me a time frame of when she will get to my daughter she burst out and started screaming about how her day was long and she can’t tell me when she going to get to my daughter because I just made the appointment yesterday and since her other clients came late she has to service them. I expressed to her that I have been coming all week to set this up because I was eager to do business with my black sister. She went off yelling that she was not going to go back and forth with me and if I don’t want to wait I can go. Very unprofessional and overall a horrible experience. I kindly left and won’t ever go back there. It’s sad because this is the example that was being for my daughter. She was really excited to get a silk press for her 13th birthday and I am ashamed that ebony would be dealing with her potential clients in that manner. If you knew better you’d do better!

I went for this appt to see Brianna for a install. She was super sweet, the shop was clean and upbeat and her work was impeccable. If you can get an appt with her lucky you. I will be a return customer!
