Went to JCP’s today to look for a pair of shoes that the online store said were available in store. I’ve always liked JCP, I grew up shopping there. The shoe department has completely changed. There is no longer any representatives to support the shoe department. I tried looking for the sneakers but the shelving was a disaster! There were no representatives anywhere in sight until I got frustrated and left then there were two walking down an aisle. I know it’s hard to find people to work so maybe I shouldn’t be too hard on them. It was a bit disappointing from the memories I had of shopping at the store.

I needed some me new slacks since I have lost a lot of weight. Went to Penny’s because they always had a good selection despite being a little pricier. Was disappointed that the selection was not as good as it used to be. Between that and the girl at the makeup counter not letting me continue shopping is why they are getting a low rating from me. If they require that all items in the cosmetic department be purchased there, then that area shouldn’t be open the way it is. ?

Attempted to speak to a manager but mysteriously none were available. Tried calling and no answer either. Their customer service sure has gone down hill dramatically. ?

Stylist butchered my hair. So terrible. I requested 2 inch cut and she cut 6. I said I wanted 2 and just cut off 6 and she said thought I needed six . The person that was with me just said that she thought it would look healthy. The Stylist took that as an okay to chop off a big section of 6 inches before I could even respond . She never allowed me to respond before she did it . If she would have allow me to respond, I would have said absolutely not. I hate it . I will never go there again.

It's been in VW Mall for decades & is the only flagship stores left (I think, in our state-bust especially in the WDM/DM area). Still the same quality & service as always. Please stay!

Impossible to get anyone to answer a phone. I tried calling them for something I’m being charged for that I didn’t pick up. I had first called the 800 number, they told me to call the store. I would give 0 stars if I could. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Edit: and exactly how/where do I reach you on chat? How about a phone number to the store in West Des Moines, IA? One that someone will actually answer?

Stopped in on a long shot to find Euro pillow shams. Staff is friendly and helpful. Actually found some on clearance. that I think are going to work. Gavin went up and above on customer service when he ran after us to return my husbands phone he left on the counter. Appreciate good service!
