When I decided to try First Strike I had very few expectations. I had no prior experience in martial arts, self-defense, fighting, etc. I wasn’t even sure I would like it enough to do more than a couple of classes. It’s been almost a year going a few times each week at this point.

Each instructor brings their own style to push you further than you believe you can go while teaching you techniques at your individual skill level. The environment is encouraging for all ages and skill levels and new students have support from those who are regulars. You will sweat, occasionally get frustrated, sometimes laugh but will ultimately leave the class feeling like you’re better than when you started.

Highly recommend if you really want to learn real life application of fighting and self defense. I have tried other krav studios but this is the only one worth going to. The atmosphere is fun and the instructors are extremely dedicated to helping us students progress. They are able to expertly teach to all the different skill levels and abilities each student has so they can maximize their individual potential. It's fun and it's also an amazing workout while you learn.

I moved to the area recently and started attending Ben's classes at First Strike Krav Maga. I have done krav on and off for a few years, and in my experience Ben is an excellent instructor that does not just take traditional techniques for granted, but questions the viability of techniques and finds improvements where possible. The group of students gets along great and is very helpful toward one another. It is a very welcoming gym, and a great place to try out if you're new to the sport or have done it for some time!

Phenomenal in pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. Ben is exceptional in distilling the techniques he demonstrates amongst his students. Sensei Ben Skee was my Krav Maga instructor between 2012-2015 when he was in Texas. He is very knowledgeable and ensures that his students learn all of the intricacies of moves in order to defend themselves effectively. I was extremely overweight when I started his classes, but never felt like I didn't belong. Sensei Skee makes it clear that as long as he sees that you are putting forth true effort, he will do the same to teach you. He makes sure that students do not do anything more than what they can handle safely, but at the same time forces students to challenge themselves.
