Stay Clear!! It takes forever to just receive your glasses after the initial visit. I was told 3 weeks. My glasses came in 8 weeks. They were not correct so I had to meet with Debbie. She took the glasses I ordered and them ordered new glasses for me. That was 6 months ago. Numerous phone calls and store visits with absolutely no results. I have no glasses now and out all my money that was paid for the glasses. Unfortunately I now have to pay an attorney to send a letter so my insurance can be credited and my money returned. I cannot believe they are still open and operating

Got my eye exam in April still haven't got my contacts. When I do get someone on the phone they tell me 3 weeks. It's been 6 months. Now you can't even call them as it goes to voicemail. Went to visit them 2 months back bc of this and they hadn't even ordered them yet. Again told me 3 weeks and they would call haven't got 1.

Worst service I have ever seen. I went in January of 2024 a long with my daughter for both of us to get glasses. I was told my glasses would be ready February 2nd 2024 and I still have not received my glasses. I have called numerous times just to be told that somebody would call me back which they never do now you can't get a hold of him on the phone I'd like my money back or I would like my lenses. It's been 8 months that I've been waiting 8 months I think that is entirely ridiculous. I believe I should have somebody at least call me back and tell me what's going on find my glasses or give me back my money so I can start fresh elsewhere. I and my daughter have been going to Cohen's for a very long time now they've moved out and it just seems like they went downhill so fast.

I was afraid of this happening. I have been faithfully driving to the location to see if my glasses were ready without success. I went there today and store completely bare. I work in healthcare and I am struggling just to see. I have been waiting for months and I have already paid them. I also gave them my personal frames to be relensed with new prescription. They would not return them to me. I asked for a refund and my property back and they said no. I guess it is now theft. I will be reporting them. I am reaching out to the board of medicine to see if there is anything to do. Also insurance company. How can you call yourself a doctor? Leaving so many people untreated. All you had to do was return my money and items and allow me to be treated elsewhere. Now I remain unable to see appropriately. Very disappointed. My actual rating is a zero.

The nastiest people 2 months to get glasses and prescription was wrong .She begged for a chance to get it right and then ignored me every time I came in acting busy won’t come to the front when I ask for her the spiel how she loves to help people She’s good at her job. She’s the only one there that is capable all lies a bunch of incompetent from top to bottom. One guy was there. That was nice. He had nothing to do with making the glasses or prescribing them. But he left when he saw the situation and all the unhappy customers always getting the prescriptions wrong And never having the glasses come in when they’re supposed to two months and I had to go in there and find the glasses there no one ever called Don’t waste your time your blood pressure will entail It’s like going in a world of chaos and confusion and frustration on your part. It’s like stepping into full traffic on I-95 or I four. Please don’t go there If you do, you’re gonna find out.

Update 8/25/24 - Dropping this to a 1* review. This place is full of incompetent people.

I don’t know what happened to this place been using them for years. I have given them a great review in the past. As of recently, they have detached themselves from the corporate Cohen logo and their service has gone straight down the toilet. If you call no one‘s answering if you email no one responds there’s no room to leave voicemail messages, my parents are in their 70s and have to get up and go to the store to ask a question because no one will answer them. They have no problem taking money knowing how backed up they are short staffed that they are proceeded with caution. Don’t believe them if they tell you three weeks and if you think you’re gonna call and get somebody on the phone, you’re not. This place is always packed, There is no order inside, Even if you have a question they make you wait online. The professionalism and order of this store now is equivalent to a daycare. This location is on St. Lucie West, and they are suppose to cater to all the elderly people. I don’t think it’s fair that it’s 75-year-old woman has to get in a cab to go to the eyeglass place just to get a question answered. Now I will go to the store and ask about the prescription and lenses that my father ordered and if they don’t have them today, I’ll be disputing the charges.

I just want to take a moment to let you know how satisfied I was with Durante Optical. I won't lie, my glasses got lost in the order and was very upset because I was taking a long trip and needed them for driving. After Debbie Durante learned of this she stepped right in and made it her mission to find them. Needless to say, she found them and met me after hours to give them to me. I was more then satisfied and would highly recommend them to anyone. There may be some negative reviews out there,but they are mainly from the store in the mall which was corporate run. The office in St. Lucie West is a family run business and not run in the corporate world. Again, I am very satisfied and would recommend them for your optical needs. If you have any problems,ask for Debbie..she will make sure everything goes right. ?

I was hoping to be able to leave a good review but I can’t. I was a previous patient of Dr Durante last year when he was at Cohens in Jensen. I called about two weeks ago to ask for my prescription record and was told I would get a call back and then I didn’t. Then, I called again and was told they would take 48 hrs to receive my prescription record then would call me. A week later and no call. And now I’m going on vacation in two days and have to wear my glasses because my eye doctor stole my contact prescription records from the Jensen location. If he is not able to keep up with all of his patients he should’ve kept the records at Cohens in Jensen beach for them to handle. Unprofessional
