Service here was terrible. The workers were unprofessional and rude. I’m spending a lot of money in the store and they’re acting like I’m going to steal something by having a couple of the securities stand by me while I’m trying to shop. Kind of uncomfortable to shop when you have workers in your corner watching you, assuming you’re going to steal. Or that’s what it felt like. They also treat you like a number and don’t accommodate for you or offer a water or anything. One older lady who worked there, specifically with shorter blonde hair and a European accent, was arguing with me about the sunglasses I was trying to purchase. It was obviously handled wrong by customers to where it was bent and was sitting on my face unevenly. She was trying to sell me an older pair and I asked her to fix the sides for me that way it would be comfortable when I wear them. She did but it was still slanted, then proceeded to tell me that these glasses aren’t meant for me or to fit my face, and for me to go online to look at other ones. Lol.. made no sense to me because that’s the whole point of me going in person to the store to try them out and to make sure they fit me comfortable. Won’t be returning back to this store. Staffs need to be retrained properly

This is a wonderful location and I have always received excellent service. Troy in particular is fantastic to work with - personable, professional and very knowledgeable about the brand. He is skilled at connecting with his clients and tailoring a shopping experience based on their needs. I do recommend making an appointment so that you don’t have to worry about waiting in line. If you are new to the area or planning a visit to Chicago, most of the major fashion houses on Oak Street (VCA, Hermes, Dior, Cartier, etc.) have moved towards an appointment based system so it does help to contact the stores you want to visit and make an appointment, especially on busy days.

I feel compelled to leave a review because a certain "real housewife" is bashing this store online. My friend and I went in to browse on a Sunday at the end of April. We did not have an appointment. We didn't end up buying anything either but everyone from security at the front door to the sales associate inside were wonderful. The customer service was excellent and if I purchase anything from Chanel in the future it will likely be from this location.

Edited review: I have now been a client of this Chanel store for more than 3 years. Yesterday was the pinnacle of my visits to this store thanks to Troy.

If you are looking to start your Chanel buying journey, the first step is to make contact with Troy. He is personable, knowledgeable, and will be a fierce advocate for you. He made me feel safe and "seen" as a person with not the typical Chanel body type. And yes, this is important to note as many of these fashion houses do not typically carry extended sizes or cater to people who look like me.

A few pieces of advice for those wanting to make the most of your experience at Chanel. If you want to browse around, and this is your first time there, when you walk in, tell the sales associate just that. My advice is to start small. Specifically with costume jewelry. The Chicago store has a great selection of costume jewelry. If you have any questions about visiting this store, I'd love to help you answer them.

Chanel store management could do more to ensure that their staff is more customer focused and friendly. While I was in the store, I did feel "observed" and was not comfortable walking around the store.

I'm not going to say that all the staff was horrible, but there was the person who was supposed to be assisting me, but as soon as I told her what I was looking for, she pretty much checked out and handed me off to another associate. For being a boutique store, I would expect a higher-level of customer service.

If you want to visit the store, you can walk-in. They have heat lamps and plastic (upscale) sheeting protecting you from the elements while you wait. However, depending on the time/date, you may be waiting outside for up to 1/2 hour or more.

Final note, the upstairs bathroom is a sight to behold. Floor to ceiling marble in a pinkish hue. For a public restroom, it's pretty fancy. Shoutout to the staff member who told me to check it out.

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to this location. The selection of inventory was amazing. My visit was as a walk in, but appointments are recommended. Troy was awesome to work with and provided the best experience.

These CHANEL shoes are two different sizes. I couldn't understand how these shoes were soo painful until a friend took one out of the box 3 years after I bought them.
$1,200.00 oops that haunts my closet.
Manager was dismissive amd condescending, claiming they were worn and old. ".. like I said, I'm sorry this happened to you... " while nodding yes.

They were unworn because of the poor fit and old because I expected more from CHANEL .

So, when shopping at a CHANEL BOUTIQUE make sure to inspect purchases before and after payment.
